What are the .EU Domain Name Restrictions ?

Only the following names can be registered as a Domain Name:

  1. names that are available; a name is available when:
    1. it is not already registered as a Domain Name;
    2. it is not reserved, blocked or notified to the Registry as “not registrable” in accordance with the Public Policy Rules, unless provided for otherwise therein;
  2. it has not been applied for during the Phased Registration Period, unless it has been made available by the Registry in accordance with the Sunrise Rules;
  3. names that meet the following technical and lexical requirements described in the syntax rules.
